What you'll do

  • Design, analyze, and test DC-DC power converters for harsh space environments.
  • Perform electrical power system and sub-system level design trades and develop requirements.
  • Define and perform electrical power system verification testing and analysis.
  • Develop hardware for high-density compute power delivery, battery systems, and ion propulsion.
  • Model and simulate power electronics for voltage and current mode control and compensation.
  • Design custom transformers and inductors, including planar magnetics.
  • Create new power electronics hardware in coordination with multidisciplinary design, test, and production teams.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in power converter development.
  • Previous experience with DC-DC power converter development.
  • Previous experience with magnetics and design of custom transformers and inductors, including planar magnetics.
  • Experience in modeling, simulation, and testing of power electronics.
  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field (preferred).
  • Working experience in voltage and current mode control and compensation design (preferred).
  • U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for Department of State authorization.
