As a Power Electronics Engineer, AI Satellites (Starmind), you will join the Power Electronics team to design and develop power conversion and control systems for Starmind satellites and orbital data centers. What you'll do

Design, analyze, and test DC-DC power converters for harsh space environments.
Perform electrical power system and sub-system level design trades and develop requirements.
Define and execute electrical power system verification testing and analysis.
Develop hardware for high-density compute power delivery, battery systems, motors, and propulsion.
Design power conversion and control systems ranging from low voltage to the kV range.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create new power electronics hardware for production.
Implement designs for fault tolerance, reliability, and radiation effects in space.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or another STEM discipline.
At least 1 year of professional experience in power converter development.
Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
Strong grasp of analog control, discrete logic design, and DC-DC topologies.
Experience in modeling, simulation, and testing of power electronics.
Experience with voltage/current mode control, compensation design, AC-DC converters, and power factor correction.
Familiarity with spacecraft electrical systems, radiation effects, and lithium-ion battery handling.
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or eligible for required export control authorizations.
