Power Electronics Engineer, AI Satellites

What you'll do

• Design, analyze, and test DC-DC power converters for harsh space environments.
• Perform electrical power system and sub-system level design trades and requirements development.
• Define and execute electrical power system verification testing and analysis.
• Develop new power electronics hardware in coordination with multidisciplinary design and production teams.
• Design power conversion and control systems for high-density compute, batteries, and propulsion.
• Model and simulate power electronics including voltage and current mode control and compensation.
• Design wire wound and planar inductors and transformers for power supply packaging.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or other STEM discipline.
• 1+ years of professional experience in power converter development.
• Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed for mission critical deadlines.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for required Department of State authorizations.
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field (preferred).
• Strong grasp of analog control, discrete logic design, and DC-DC topologies (preferred).
• Experience in modeling, simulation, testing, and compensation design for power electronics (preferred).
• Familiarity with spacecraft power systems, radiation effects, and lithium-ion battery safety (preferred).
