This position is integral to Amazon Leo's mission of deploying a constellation of 3,236 satellites to enhance global broadband access.

What you'll do

Provide PCB/PCBA DFM feedback to Design Engineering and escalate manufacturing challenges early.
Drive PCBA Manufacturing Qualification process at contract manufacturers, ensuring all production readiness deliverables are complete.
Investigate and develop new manufacturing technologies to enhance PCBA quality, reliability, throughput, and cost.
Lead closure of operational issues during pre-production builds and optimize manufacturing processes for yield improvement.
Identify and mitigate root causes of failures/defects in production, test, and integration as part of continuous improvement efforts.

What we're looking for

5+ years of experience in PCBA/PCB production and manufacturing engineering.
Experience with board assembly processes: stencil printing, paste printing, pick & place, SMT reflow, AOI, selective soldering, flying probe testing, and washing.
Ability to lead small teams in solving technical product manufacturability and process problems.
Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for innovation and improving quality/reliability.
Experience working independently with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and test partners.
