As a Manufacturing Engineer at Amazon Leo, you will join the hardware development team to lead production process development for a critical module on next-generation spacecraft. Your daily responsibilities include supporting operations by resolving complex technical issues during quality containments and managing capacity increases through defining and implementing new rate-enabling equipment. You will collaborate closely with development teams to design future iterations of systems and sub-assemblies, ensuring efficient production test systems and tooling are in place. The role requires expertise in mechanical or electrical engineering, experience in hardware validation, familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, and proficiency in root cause analysis techniques like Fishbone diagrams and DMAIC. Support operations team in high-pressure situations by resolving technical issues and coordinating diverging perspectives.

What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent
3+ years of hardware design and validation experience for components, subsystems, and systems
Familiarity with Low-Rate Manufacturing Environments & New Product Introduction processes
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices and principles
Experience with Root Cause Analysis Techniques such as Fishbone, Fault Tree, DMAIC
