As a Senior PCBA Manufacturing Engineer at Amazon Leo, you will join the Aerospace Manufacturing team to bring complex electronic assembly designs to life. Key skills required include experience with PCB/PCBA production processes, board assembly equipment, and industry-standard PLM systems like Mentor/Valor. Additionally, you should have expertise in polymeric applications, solder alloys, and flying probe test systems, along with the ability to lead small teams in solving technical issues and implementing solutions.

What you'll do

Provide PCB/PCBA DFM feedback to Design Engineering and escalate manufacturing challenges early.
Drive PCBA Manufacturing Qualification process at contract manufacturers, ensuring all production readiness deliverables are complete.
Investigate and develop new manufacturing technologies to enhance PCBA quality, reliability, throughput, and cost.
Close operational issues during pre-production builds by optimizing manufacturing processes with cross-functional teams.
Identify and mitigate root causes of failures/defects in production for continuous improvement efforts.

What we're looking for

5+ years of experience in PCBA/PCB production and manufacturing engineering.
Experience with board assembly processes: stencil printing, paste application, pick & place, SMT reflow, AOI, and flying probe testing.
Ability to lead small teams in solving technical product manufacturability issues.
Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for innovation in cutting-edge technology.
Experience deploying and qualifying polymerics equipment for high-volume production.
