Sr. Database Administrator TS/SCI Poly joins the Cyber & Analytics Business Area to support a large, complex, and fast-paced operational program. The role involves assessing, auditing, and reporting on database Security Requirements Guide and STIG vulnerabilities while ensuring compliance with DoD, DISA, and cybersecurity policies. Daily responsibilities include implementing and maintaining DISA STIGs for Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, and MongoDB platforms; performing vulnerability scans; remediating security weaknesses; and supporting Risk Management Framework processes to contribute to Authority to Operate packages. The position requires troubleshooting database problems, performing recovery actions, and developing SQL or PL/SQL scripts. Technical expertise includes Linux security as it relates to Oracle databases, IAVA patching, and high-availability replication technologies like Oracle Data Guard and GoldenGate. This role addresses critical security infrastructure needs within the intelligence sector's cyber and analytics domain.
Implement and maintain DISA STIGs for Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, and MongoDB platforms.
Perform vulnerability scans, analyze findings, and remediate identified security weaknesses.
Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and contribute to Authority to Operate (ATO) packages.
Conduct routine security readiness reviews and document Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) items.
Execute system updates and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patching for database products.
Troubleshoot, resolve, and perform recovery actions for complex database problems.
Develop and execute SQL queries to fulfill routine and ad hoc data requests.
Create and modify database scripts to enhance system support and resolve recurring issues.
What we're looking for
Must have a Master's degree with 15–20 years of experience or a Doctorate with 13–16 years of experience (additional experience may substitute for a degree).
Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Must have in-depth experience implementing and maintaining database security controls, including DISA STIGs and RMF processes.
Must have in-depth experience applying Oracle CPU patches, IAVA patches, and other database products.
Must have in-depth experience with Linux security as it relates to Oracle databases.
Must have in-depth experience troubleshooting and resolving database problems and issues.
Must have hands-on experience installing, configuring, and upgrading RDBMS software and using procedural languages like PL/SQL.
Experience with real-time data replication technologies, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), or NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Cassandra (preferred).
