What you'll do

  • Design mechanical components including cold plates, manifolds, quick-disconnects, tubing assemblies, and chassis interfaces.
  • Create detailed CAD models, 2D drawings, GD&T, and tolerance stack-ups for manufacturable designs.
  • Select materials and sealing strategies to ensure durability against corrosion, pressure, and chemical exposure.
  • Perform engineering simulations for stress, thermal expansion, fatigue, vibration, and fluid flow.
  • Develop validation plans and test fixtures for pressure, leak, burst, and environmental testing.
  • Lead root cause analysis for mechanical failures and implement corrective design changes.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to manage machining, brazing, plating, and tooling processes.
  • Translate product requirements into technical specifications while ensuring system-level integration of cooling hardware.

What we're looking for

  • BS/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience developing complex mechanical components or assemblies for electromechanical systems.
  • Experience with liquid cooling or fluid systems is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, NX), drawing generation, and GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
  • Experience designing for precision machining, brazing, plating, elastomer sealing, and pressure-rated components.
  • Hands-on experience with pressure/leak testing, dimensional inspection, materials evaluation, and mechanical validation.
  • Knowledge of material behavior in liquid coolant environments and principles of fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical decisions across cross-functional teams.
