The Sr. Manager, Operational Technology Programs & Operations Excellence joins the Systems Engineering organization to lead strategic programs improving the reliability, security, compliance, and effectiveness of manufacturing technology environments. This role serves as a bridge between Operations, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Cybersecurity, and Information Technology to translate operational requirements into scalable technology solutions. Key responsibilities include managing cross-functional programs involving OT infrastructure, industrial networks, computerized manufacturing systems, and manufacturing technology modernization. The successful candidate will utilize Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to establish governance and standardize practices. Required skills include experience in manufacturing technology, industrial infrastructure, and IT/OT cybersecurity. The role addresses the technical challenge of ensuring manufacturing continuity and operational readiness within a regulated life sciences and diagnostics manufacturing environment.
Lead strategic programs to improve reliability, security, compliance, and effectiveness of global manufacturing technology environments.
Manage cross-functional programs involving OT infrastructure, industrial networks, and computerized manufacturing systems.
Establish program governance, project plans, risk mitigation strategies, and performance metrics for complex technology initiatives.
Translate manufacturing and business requirements into actionable technical solutions for IT and Cybersecurity teams.
Lead manufacturing technology modernization initiatives including infrastructure refreshes, OS upgrades, and asset lifecycle management.
Represent Operations during solution design, testing, validation, deployment, and change management activities.
Apply Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to standardize technology practices across global sites.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
Eight or more years of experience in manufacturing technology, operational technology, engineering, information technology, manufacturing operations, or related functions.
Three or more years of experience leading cross-functional programs, projects, or workstreams across multiple functions or sites.
Demonstrated ability to independently develop and execute program charters, project plans, governance structures, risk mitigation plans, and executive communications.
Working knowledge of manufacturing operations and Operational Technology environments, including industrial infrastructure, computerized manufacturing systems, and industrial networks.
Experience partnering with IT, Cybersecurity, Quality, and Validation teams on network segmentation, endpoint security, vulnerability remediation, or computerized system validation.
Demonstrated ability to translate operational needs into technical requirements and communicate program risks and outcomes to senior leadership.
Experience in life sciences, medical device, diagnostics, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industries (preferred).
