Sr. Manager, Operational Technology Programs & Operations Excellence joins the Systems Engineering organization to lead strategic programs improving the reliability, security, compliance, and effectiveness of manufacturing technology environments across global operations. This role serves as a bridge between Operations, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Cybersecurity, and Information Technology, translating operational requirements into scalable technical solutions. Key responsibilities include managing OT infrastructure, industrial networks, computerized manufacturing systems, and modernization initiatives like infrastructure refreshes and asset lifecycle management. The candidate will utilize Lean principles and the Danaher Business System to establish governance and risk mitigation strategies. Required expertise includes manufacturing technology, industrial automation platforms such as MES or SCADA, and experience with IT/OT network segmentation and GxP-regulated environments. This role addresses the challenge of ensuring manufacturing continuity while modernizing complex infrastructure within a regulated life sciences and diagnostics production environment.
Lead strategic programs to improve reliability, security, and compliance of manufacturing technology across global sites.
Manage cross-functional projects involving OT infrastructure, industrial networks, and computerized manufacturing systems.
Serve as the primary liaison between Operations and IT/Cybersecurity teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Drive modernization initiatives including infrastructure refreshes, operating system upgrades, and asset lifecycle management.
Establish program governance, project plans, risk mitigation strategies, and executive-level communications for complex technology initiatives.
Represent manufacturing interests during solution design, testing, validation, and deployment to ensure operational continuity.
Apply Lean principles and the Danaher Business System to standardize technology practices across global operations.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
Eight or more years of experience in manufacturing technology, operational technology, engineering, information technology, manufacturing operations, or related functions.
Three or more years of experience leading cross-functional programs, projects, or workstreams across multiple functions or sites.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute program charters, project plans, governance structures, risk mitigation plans, and executive communications.
Working knowledge of manufacturing operations and Operational Technology environments including industrial infrastructure, computerized systems, and network management.
Experience partnering with IT, Cybersecurity, Quality, and Validation teams on network segmentation, security, and regulated manufacturing requirements.
Ability to translate operational needs into technical requirements and manage organizational change across technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Experience in life sciences or regulated industries, MES/SCADA systems, GxP environments, or manufacturing technology transformation (preferred).
