The Control Systems and Infrastructure Support Lead (ITOT Mgmt.) leads a team of site systems engineers and system owners within the Pharma Global Technical Operations department. This role is responsible for maintaining the control systems strategy, overseeing 24/7 technical support for manufacturing computerized systems in a high-stakes environment, and managing lifecycle management, patching, and audit support. The position involves designing scalable architectures, ensuring computer system validation compliance, and supporting cybersecurity initiatives for manufacturing. Key responsibilities include managing vendor agreements and participating in financial planning. Candidates should possess expertise in control system hardware, antivirus applications, and backup systems. Preferred technical skills include experience with Emerson DCS DeltaV, MES Syncade, OSIsoft PI, Rockwell Automation AssetCentre, iFIX, FactoryTalk, Studio 5000 Logix, various OPC architectures, the Purdue Model, network segmentation, and OT Cybersecurity within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing context.
Lead and develop a team of site systems engineers and system owners.
Maintain the Control Systems strategy and roadmap in collaboration with business partners and vendors.
Oversee 24/7 technical support for Manufacturing Computerized Systems in a high-stakes environment.
Manage system upgrades, performance tuning, patching, and critical application administration.
Drive the reliability, continuous improvement, and lifecycle management of site control systems.
Execute rigorous computer system validation and maintain compliance across the control system lifecycle.
Support Cybersecurity initiatives and participate in OT Cybersecurity alignment meetings.
Oversee vendor service agreements and support OPEX/CAPEX financial planning activities.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related engineering or scientific discipline.
Minimum of 10 years systems engineer experience in design, implementation, and/or support of control systems (preferred).
Experience with control system hardware such as controllers, power supplies, and I/Os.
Experience with Emerson DCS DeltaV, MES Syncade, OSIsoft PI, Rockwell Automation AssetCentre, iFIX, FactoryTalk, Studio 5000 Logix, and various OPC architectures (preferred).
Experience working with Antivirus and backup applications for Control Systems.
Understanding of the Purdue Model, Network Segmentation, and OT Cybersecurity (preferred).
Ability to participate in a 24/7 on-call environment to meet business continuity requirements.
