Senior Manager, Automation & Tools - Camera & Photos

What you'll do

• Define and execute the automation strategy for Camera & Photos engineering systems.
• Build tools that reduce manual effort while increasing testing coverage and reliability.
• Drive the adoption of agentic AI systems for test creation, debugging, and workflow orchestration.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks and improve developer productivity.
• Scale CI/CD systems to support complex imaging pipelines and hardware integration.
• Establish metrics and feedback loops to continuously improve quality and engineering efficiency.
• Hire, mentor, and grow a team of engineers focused on automation and AI-powered tooling.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, automation, or developer productivity tooling.
• 5+ years of experience leading high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong background in test automation, CI/CD systems, or large-scale developer infrastructure.
• Proven track record of improving engineering velocity and product quality at scale.
• Experience building or integrating AI/ML systems, including LLM-based agents, into engineering workflows.
• Experience with imaging systems, camera pipelines, or media processing workflows.
• Familiarity with simulation, synthetic data generation, or hardware-in-the-loop testing.
