Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Monetization Engineering

What you'll do

• Build cutting-edge technology using deep learning and machine learning to personalize the Pinterest experience.
• Develop and execute a vision for the evolution of the machine learning technology stack within Ads.
• Experiment with and improve ML models across various product surfaces including Homefeed, Ads, Growth, Shopping, and Search.
• Use data-driven methods and unique data properties to improve candidate retrieval.
• Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance content understanding.
• Build end-to-end data processing pipelines and large-scale machine learning systems using big data technologies.
• Monitor and integrate industry trends in recommendation systems into the product.

What we're looking for

• Degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of industry experience applying machine learning methods such as user modeling, personalization, and recommender systems.
• Hands-on experience building data processing pipelines and large-scale machine learning systems using big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
• Practical knowledge of large-scale recommender systems, modern ads ranking, retrieval, targeting, or marketplace systems.
• Experience leveraging LLMs to enhance content understanding and other engineering workflows.
• Expertise in scalable real-time systems that process stream data.
• Knowledge of deep learning, natural language processing, reinforcement learning, and graph representation learning.
• Background in computational advertising is preferred.
