JOB TITLE: Sr. IT Systems Administrator, IT Applications
As a Sr. IT Systems Administrator, you will serve as a technical leader and Subject Matter Expert for collaborative platforms, specifically the Atlassian suite including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence. You will design, build, and support RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and webhooks to connect SaaS tools, CRM, ERP, and billing systems. Your daily work involves architecting complex integrations, managing data transformation, and implementing real-time synchronization across large, clustered Linux environments. You will identify automation opportunities, manage complex workflows, and lead application upgrades while ensuring security through OAuth and API keys. The role requires proficiency in scripting languages like Groovy, Python, or Java, as well as SQL and ScriptRunner, to solve operational workflow challenges and improve organizational efficiency.
Design, build, and maintain integrations using RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and webhooks to connect SaaS and internal systems.
Integrate business applications like CRM, ERP, and billing systems with a focus on data mapping and real-time synchronization.
Manage the Atlassian application stack, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.
Develop and deploy upgrades for collaborative applications in large, clustered Linux production environments.
Create and manage complex workflows, schemes, custom fields, and security schemes within the Atlassian suite.
Implement monitoring, alerting, and security best practices like OAuth and API key authentication for all integrations.
Identify automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual work across the organization.
Create detailed technical and user-facing documentation for internal teams and end users.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical discipline and 3+ years of experience managing applications in large enterprise environments.
5+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing applications in large enterprise environments in lieu of a degree.
Experience designing and implementing API integrations using REST, GraphQL, and webhooks.
Experience with scripting in languages such as Groovy, Python, or Java.
Strong experience with SQL, especially with ScriptRunner (preferred).
Strong experience upgrading Atlassian applications in large, clustered Linux production environments (preferred).
Hands-on experience integrating Atlassian tools with CRM, ERP, billing platforms, or migrating data between platforms (preferred).
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
