Senior Firmware Engineer

What you'll do

• Provide architecture reviews and design-in support to ODM/OEM customers for automotive products.
• Analyze, debug, and root cause issues within the processor platform and software stack.
• Validate new software features before they are released to customers.
• Train field sales and support staff on AMD product features and applications.
• Author technical papers, reference solutions, and application notes for internal and external use.
• Collaborate with development teams and project managers to drive results and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with Field Application Engineers and R&D teams to launch new customer products.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• Strong programming skills in C, C++, and scripting languages like Python are required.
• Deep knowledge of OS concepts and programming in Linux and Android is required.
• Experience with x86 processor architecture and SoC platform technologies is required.
• A strong background in developing middleware or system SW drivers for HW accelerators in BSP, HAL, or Kernel is preferred.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies and hypervisors is preferred.
• Experience in Automotive Infotainment Applications is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of enabling customers in their product development are required.
