Senior Field Application Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead and develop the Field Application Engineering (FAE) team supporting the strategic Mega Datacenter account.
• Act as the primary technical authority for all customer engagements regarding AMD datacenter computing technologies.
• Drive portfolio expansion by moving platforms from initial evaluation to committed volume deployment in coordination with sales.
• Influence and support the concept, architecture, and implementation of new systems based on AMD technology.
• Provide onsite and remote engineering support including tools, documentation, testing, and debugging throughout the development process.
• Coordinate forward-looking strategic technical initiatives and investigations for the account.
• Lead performance optimization efforts and conduct competitive analysis to ensure product superiority.
• Advocate for new features by translating unique customer needs into actionable feedback for internal business and engineering teams.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred).
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with expertise in hardware, system architecture, and application software.
• Proven track record in CPU/server system architecture, server benchmarks, GPU computing, and server platform enablement.
• Ability to lead complex problems involving multi-disciplined teams while managing multiple priorities.
• Experience as a senior level engineer or equivalent technical role balanced with customer-facing experience (preferred).
• Expertise in server software ecosystem, Linux OS at debug level, and infrastructure setup/configuration (preferred).
• Knowledge of cloud computing, HPC, networking, storage, or data analytics (preferred).
• Experience leading a team of customer-facing engineers (preferred).
