Sr Engineers, Software will join a team of software, network, and systems engineers to design, implement, and deploy scalable software solutions that overcome the limitations of traditional networking in highly available environments. The role involves participating in the architecture of components utilizing virtualization, microservices, SDN, NFV, and Big Data platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include full lifecycle development, including requirement analysis, programming, testing, and mentoring junior staff. Key technologies include Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful web services for backend systems, alongside HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular, and React for front-end development. The candidate will work with Oracle, SQL Server, and MongoDB databases while utilizing tools like Kubernetes, Jenkins, Maven, and Git. This role addresses complex networking challenges by building robust software that supports high availability and integrates seamlessly into modern infrastructure.
Design and architect software components using microservices, virtualization, SDN, NFV, and Big Data platforms.
Manage the full software development lifecycle including requirement analysis, design, programming, testing, and deployment.
Develop scalable backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful web services.
Build responsive front-end applications using technologies like Angular, React, TypeScript, and Bootstrap.
Deploy and configure multi-tier enterprise applications on servers such as WebLogic, JBoss, and Kubernetes.
Automate testing processes using JUnit, Mockito, Selenium WebDriver, and Cucumber within Agile environments.
Supervise junior engineers and provide mentorship through workshops and learning sessions.
Review existing designs to identify more efficient ways to execute workflows and improve system performance.
What we're looking for
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management, or a related field and 3 years of relevant experience is required.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management, or a related field and 5 years of relevant experience is an acceptable alternative.
Experience is required in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade web and client-server applications using Java or J2EE technologies.
Expertise is required in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate/JPA, RESTful web services, and microservices-based architectures with various SQL and NoSQL databases.
Proficiency in Core Java (multithreading, collections, etc.), front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular, React), and CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Kubernetes is required.
Experience is required in quality engineering, including unit testing (JUnit, Mockito), automation (Selenium), and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
