What you'll do

Lead a distributed team of software engineers to deliver real-time data pipelines and streaming infrastructure.
Own the technical roadmap and vision for Kafka, Temporal, and Airflow based streaming platforms.
Manage the end-to-end delivery of cross-functional projects including requirements definition, budget tracking, and risk management.
Recruit, hire, and coach engineers by developing growth plans based on the Tech Talent Framework.
Design and oversee scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-based event-driven architectures.
Establish performance measurements and KPIs to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Partner with Product and Business teams to define short-term goals and long-term OKRs.
Communicate directly with leadership to align engineering efforts with broader business objectives.

What we're looking for

BA/BS in Computer Science or closely related degree or equivalent practical experience.
10+ years of software engineering industry experience.
5+ years of experience managing a team.
Deep knowledge of distributed systems, cloud-based event-driven architecture, and streaming data pipelines.
Proven track record of leading large cross-functional software projects.
Experience managing full-stack solutions including frontend, backend, data engineering, DB, dev-ops, and CI/CD.
Exposure to Kafka for event streaming, Temporal for workflow orchestration, and Airflow for batch/data pipeline scheduling (preferred).
Proficiency in Java or Python for services (preferred).
