Senior Electron Optics Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead the development of complex modules and own technically complex solutions with full technical ownership.
• Manage requirements engineering by identifying, analyzing, documenting, and coordinating the verification of project deliverables.
• Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate technological and organizational impacts on business processes and products.
• Develop high-level and detailed designs for sub-modules including material choices and architectural decisions.
• Oversee product quality by specifying test procedures, designing tools, and validating complex testing methods.
• Manage project risks and timelines while providing work breakdown support for features and task planning.
• Document complex design choices and specifications to ensure all technical assumptions are recorded.
• Guide and mentor a team of 3-5 engineers while advising management on specialized technical areas.

What we're looking for

• Master's degree with thorough experience or an equivalent working and thinking level is required.
• Ability to technically lead engineering teams and provide advice to management.
• Expertise in complex sub-module knowledge within a specific area of expertise.
• Solid knowledge of neighboring parts, areas of expertise, and how they interact with other subsystems.
• Experience leading the development of complex components and owning technically complex solutions.
• Ability to manage project requirements, feasibility studies, and technical documentation across all design phases.
• Capability to coordinate work breakdown, risk management, and project planning for engineering teams.
• Proficiency in designing test procedures, ensuring product quality, and adhering to safety protocols.
