Required technical skills include enterprise network architecture knowledge covering LAN, data center networking, SD-WAN, and F5 load balancing. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with Python, Ansible, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code. The position specifically addresses the technical challenge of providing scalable, secure network capabilities for AI/HPC data center environments through proactive monitoring and automated remediation.

What you'll do

  • Lead a globally distributed team of 90 employees and contractors for network engineering and 24x7 operations.
  • Own the performance, availability, security, and continuous improvement of the global data and voice network.
  • Lead major network incidents and escalations to ensure root-cause resolution and prevent recurrence.
  • Drive disciplined Incident, Change, and Problem Management practices to meet SLAs and improve reliability.
  • Define and execute the global network strategy for infrastructure, lifecycle management, and AI-enabled operations.
  • Own the network observability strategy to provide actionable end-to-end visibility across the environment.
  • Lead the adoption of AI/AIOps and agentic automation for anomaly detection, capacity planning, and remediation.
  • Manage global network budgets and forecasts across hardware, software, labor, and connectivity services.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience leading large, globally distributed network engineering and 24x7 operations organizations (preferred).
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing technical teams in complex enterprise environments (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of enterprise network architecture including LAN, data center, wireless, WAN, Internet routing, SD-WAN, and QoS (preferred).
  • Knowledge of voice, video, telephony, unified communications, DNS/DHCP, IP address management, and F5 LTM/GTM load balancing (preferred).
  • Experience with enterprise network management, observability technologies, streaming telemetry, and log analytics (preferred).
  • Experience leading AI/AIOps and agentic automation initiatives within IT or network operations (preferred).
  • Experience driving network automation using Python, Ansible, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code (preferred).
