What you'll do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technical groups and customers to resolve support issues.
- Conduct root cause investigations and perform technical analysis of incidents with engineering teams.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and implement workarounds for data pipelines and streaming platforms.
- Resolve complex issues involving Kafka topics, partitions, consumer groups, and offset management.
- Investigate and resolve Cassandra issues related to data persistence, replication, and consistency.
- Write and maintain Python or Java scripts to automate diagnostics, monitoring, and remediation tasks.
- Build and maintain observability tooling including dashboards, alerts, and tracing systems.
- Analyze workflows and file detailed bug reports to ensure full resolution of technical issues.
What we're looking for
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience debugging technical issues.
- At least 2 years of experience with distributed systems or streaming data platforms.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with big-data ecosystems including Apache Flink, Kafka, Cassandra, and Spark.
- Advanced scripting skills in either Python or Java to automate diagnostics and monitoring.
- Expertise in Kafka management including topics, partitions, consumer groups, and offset management.
- Experience troubleshooting Cassandra issues related to data persistence, replication, and consistency.
- Proficiency with Git repository and version control systems.
