Sr. Associate, Tech Support Engineer serves as a member of the Technical Support Engineering team, where you will assist cross-functional teams with the sustainment of multiple integration lab configurations. You will perform day-to-day tasks including troubleshooting complex processes for external consultants, managing multi-tier support tickets, and providing remote assistance to off-site customers. Your responsibilities involve engineering Software Integration Lab solutions based on requirements, fabricating wiring for hardware components, checking server and firewall logs, and performing advanced LAN troubleshooting, soldering, and infrastructure support. You will utilize skills in schematic diagrams, AC/DC theory, and electrical test equipment while working with technologies like VMware ESXi, VCenter, RHEL Linux, Windows 10, and Dell KACE. This role addresses the technical challenges of maintaining mission system solutions that have a direct impact on national security programs.
Troubleshoot complex technical processes and projects with external IT consultants and contractors.
Manage multi-tier support calls and document issues within a tracking database.
Provide remote technical support to off-site customers.
Engineer Software Integration Lab (SIL) solutions based on specific software requirements.
Fabricate wiring for hardware components and perform advanced LAN troubleshooting and infrastructure support.
Monitor server, firewall, and alert event logs to ensure system stability.
Perform complex PC hardware/software setup, repairs, and OS patching.
Design, implement, and maintain electrical instruments and systems for industrial purposes.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience, a graduate degree with 0 to 2 years of experience, or no degree with 6 years of experience.
2 years of experience in schematic diagrams, mechanical assembly drawings, electrical/electronic test equipment, AC/DC theory, electronics, and general build processes like soldering and wiring.
2 years of experience with the safe operation of basic electrical test equipment, electronics tools, and hand tools.
2 years of experience in networking including LANs, routers, and switches.
