What you'll do

  • Create new and update existing database structures within large, complex environments.
  • Manage data within large, complex databases to support active application development.
  • Perform data profiling, cleansing, reporting, data staging, and ETL jobs.
  • Write complex SQL, DDL, DML, and DCL for various database systems.
  • Troubleshoot and tune SQL queries to improve database performance.
  • Develop Python scripts and manage version control using Git.
  • Execute data migrations, validation, and pipeline management within AWS.
  • Monitor system performance using CloudWatch, Kibana, and Dynatrace.

What we're looking for

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a BI Full 6C (T4) public trust.
  • Must be local to the National Capital Region.
  • Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years in database development roles.
  • Experience in data profiling, cleansing, reporting, data staging, and ETL jobs.
  • Strong experience creating complex SQL, troubleshooting, tuning, and writing performance queries.
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database development and writing Python scripts.
  • Experience with Git, AWS (data migration, pipelines, CloudWatch, Kibana, Dynatrace), and DDL/DML/DCL.
