What you'll do

Design, build, and maintain scalable data architectures and databases within the AWS GovCloud environment.
Migrate on-premises databases to cloud-based solutions while transforming data as required.
Develop and maintain secure, repeatable data pipelines and new API integrations.
Implement ETL/ELT routines for data extraction, loading, and database synchronization.
Manage data governance, quality controls, and monitoring of automated jobs to ensure performance.
Perform technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, and risk assessments.
Document data architecture and systems for both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Optimize complex data structures and perform troubleshooting to improve overall system performance.

What we're looking for

Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must possess an active Secret security clearance.
10+ years of related data engineering experience required.
Proficiency in SQL, Java, MySQL, and PostgreSQL is required.
Experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and cloud services like AWS RDS or Aurora DB is required.
CompTIA Security+ CE (8570/8140) certification is required.
Cloud or database certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect are preferred.
Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark is preferred.
