The Specialist, Systems Engineer - RAMS joins a multidisciplinary engineering development team to support multiple concurrent programs. In this role, the engineer performs hardware and software analyses for electronic communications equipment, focusing on reliability, maintainability, and safety. Key responsibilities include creating technical documentation, performing Reliability Predictions, Reliability Modeling, Failure Modes Effects & Criticality Analyses (FMECA), and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). The position requires proficiency with standards such as MIL-HDBK-217F, Telcordia SR-332, MIL-STD-882, and NAS 411. Candidates should possess strong math skills in probability and statistics, along with experience in tools like Teamcenter, SAP, Catia Cameo, and Ansys Sherlock. Perform RAMS hardware and software analyses for electronic communications equipment.
Create technical documentation and present analysis results to stakeholders.
Conduct Reliability Predictions, Maintainability Predictions, and Reliability Modeling.
Execute Failure Modes Effects & Criticality Analyses (FMECA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
Perform various safety analyses in accordance with military, government, and commercial standards.
Manage time and resources to support multiple concurrent programs in a multidisciplinary environment.
Prepare and present technical data for internal and customer reviews.
What we're looking for
A bachelor’s degree in engineering with minimum 4 years of prior relevant RAMS experience.
A graduate degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Minimum of 8 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
Familiarity with military, government, and commercial standards including MIL-HDBK-217F, Telcordia SR-332, 217Plus™, MIL-HDBK-470, MIL-STD-882, NFPA70, and NAS 411.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to prepare and present technical data for internal and customer reviews.
Ability to obtain security clearance and maintain eligibility requirements to access U.S. classified information.
U.S. citizenship is required to be granted a security clearance.
Electrical Engineering degree (preferred).
Previous experience in RAMS, Human Factors Engineering, FRACAS, Logistics Analysis, GEIA-STD-0007, and DoD (preferred).
Experience with Teamcenter, SAP, MS Office, Sharepoint, Relyence, Catia Cameo, and Ansys Sherlock (preferred).
Strong math skills, particularly probability and statistics (preferred).
