Specialist, System Analysis

What you'll do

• Perform advanced concept thermodynamic design of air-breathing engines to define propulsion cycles.
• Conduct performance analyses to evaluate steady-state and transient operation of propulsion systems.
• Develop and use integrated propulsion system models for sizing, performance, and analysis.
• Create and maintain math models characterizing thermodynamic, aerodynamic, fluid dynamic, and mechanical operations.
• Design and test engine control systems and control logic for solid, liquid, and air-breathing engines.
• Develop digital engine control logic and schedules to support program development activities.
• Contribute technical analyses to anomaly investigation and resolution teams.
• Provide on-site customer technical support for engine ground tests and system flight test activities.

What we're looking for

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and relevant experience, a Graduate Degree and experience, or experience without a degree.
• Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for a security clearance.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent (preferred).
• Proficiency in NPSS, ModelCenter, CAD tools, trajectory analysis tools, Python, C/C++, SysML, and FORTRAN (preferred).
• Proficiency in engine control system design, software test design, and SIL control system design using MATLAB/Simulink/LabVIEW (preferred).
• Experience with MBSE tools, Mission Architecture tools, and high-speed propulsion systems (preferred).
