The Specialist, Integration and Test Software Engineer joins the Surveillance Systems division to support the development, assembly, integration, verification, and test automation of space payloads, spacecraft subsystems, and full space vehicles. This role provides software technical leadership across the product lifecycle, from requirements analysis through delivery. Key responsibilities include defining test strategies, developing and deploying Electrical Ground Support Equipment, generating test documentation, and driving root cause analysis for anomalies. The position requires proficiency with NI tools like LabVIEW and TestStand, as well as scripting languages including Python, Java, or Perl. Candidates should possess experience with RF test and measurement equipment, requirements management tools like DOORS, and Jira. The work involves complex system integration and test engineering within mission-critical space, aerospace, and defense environments.
Provide system-level integration and test engineering support for space hardware and spacecraft subsystems.
Automate functional, qualification, and production environmental testing for space payloads.
Develop and deploy Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) for integration and test execution.
Create and maintain test documentation including requirements, designs, plans, procedures, and reports.
Perform EGSE and Unit Under Test (UUT) checkout, selloff, and troubleshooting throughout the system lifecycle.
Analyze test data to identify anomalies and drive root cause and corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
Support system verification and validation activities from the design phase through manufacturing and delivery.
Interface with internal teams, subcontractors, and customers to ensure test readiness and successful execution.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of relevant experience, a Graduate Degree and 2 years of related experience, or 8 years of related experience without a degree.
2+ years of experience in System Integration and Test (SI&T).
2+ years of experience with NI tools such as LabVIEW and/or TestStand.
Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
Ability to secure and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access as required.
Experience testing space-qualified, aerospace, or military hardware (preferred).
Experience with system requirements analysis, testability, verification planning, and hardware/software integration (preferred).
