Specialist, Data Engineer Test Lead

What you'll do

• Lead test planning, scenario development, and execution for NF Actuarial Datamart initiatives.
• Perform detailed data validation across source, transformation, and target layers to ensure accuracy.
• Write and execute SQL queries to investigate data conditions and perform root cause analysis.
• Manage the full defect lifecycle including documentation, prioritization, retesting, and resolution.
• Support and enhance test automation efforts using Ruby and other scripting languages.
• Analyze data issues in collaboration with developers to determine impact and resolution paths.
• Provide walk-up support for testing questions, data concerns, and issue triage.
• Monitor production data quality to ensure accuracy for key stakeholders and business processes.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience in testing or quality assurance with an emphasis on data validation and system/integration testing.
• Experience with Ruby automation or automated testing frameworks.
• Experience working with Informatica processes in an ETL or data integration environment.
• Ability to write SQL queries for testing, troubleshooting, and validation purposes.
• Exposure to Python and interest in expanding development-oriented technical skills.
• Experience managing defects and supporting issue triage through resolution.
• Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, business, statistics, math, or a related field (preferred).
• Work authorization.
