Space Systems Modeling and Analysis Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain high-fidelity models of multi-orbit space constellations for SATCOM, navigation, and missile warning missions.
• Design and execute large-scale, parallelizable simulations to evaluate constellation performance and resilience under various conditions.
• Perform trade studies and sensitivity analyses on constellation design parameters, sensor geometries, and network topologies.
• Model ground segment architectures including radar systems, entry points, and command and control infrastructure.
• Model space-based threats such as maneuverable satellites, counter-space systems, and electromagnetic warfare effects.
• Analyze Space Data Network architectures including space-to-space crosslinks and network service orchestration.
• Develop sensor performance models for multi-phenomenology detection across infrared and radar mission types.
• Produce technical documentation, trade study reports, and briefings to inform architecture decisions for leadership.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.
• 3+ years of experience developing physics-based models and simulations of space systems.
• Experience modeling systems across multiple orbital regimes including LEO, MEO, and GEO.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or C++ for numerical modeling and data analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with parallelizable or high-performance computing approaches for large-scale simulations.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
• Master's or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Astrodynamics, Applied Physics, or related field (preferred).
• Familiarity with SATCOM network modeling, resilient constellation design, and space domain awareness (preferred).
