Sourcing Manager, Capital Equipment, Construction, & Wastewater Treatment (Starlink) joins the team to support the design, construction, and operation of large-scale ultrapure water and wastewater treatment plants for high-volume manufacturing operations. This role involves managing capital equipment procurement, executing contract management processes, and performing market analysis for specialized systems like membrane filtration, evaporators, and crystallizers. The individual will develop sourcing strategies for industrial water systems, manage vendor relationships, lead RFPs, and conduct financial analyses to mitigate budgetary risks on multi-million dollar projects. Key responsibilities include negotiating contracts with EPC contractors and managing construction services for complex infrastructure. Candidates should possess expertise in wastewater treatment technologies, procurement, or engineering. Required skills include proficiency in MS Office, SQL, and PowerBI to manage the supply base and ensure compliance with environmental permits while supporting critical manufacturing facilities.
Develop and execute procurement strategies for wastewater treatment plants, ultrapure water systems, and related construction projects.
Perform market analysis to determine should-costs and secure favorable deals for specialized industrial water equipment.
Create and negotiate contract documents with the legal department for capital equipment and EPC contractors.
Manage end-to-end sourcing for industrial water systems including raw water intake, process water, and cooling tower operations.
Track multi-million dollar project spend and provide budgetary analysis to support management decision-making.
Lead and execute Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for construction packages and specialized wastewater treatment systems.
Manage vendor relationships to ensure contract compliance and resolve performance or delivery issues.
Implement supplier management programs to monitor KPIs and improve the performance of the supply base.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in procurement, engineering, contract negotiation, operations, construction, or water treatment systems.
9+ years of experience in procurement, engineering, contract negotiation, operations, construction, or water treatment systems may substitute for a degree.
Experience with capital equipment procurement and construction project management for industrial water treatment or ultrapure water systems.
Knowledge of advanced wastewater treatment technologies such as membrane filtration, EDI/IX, and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems.
Proficiency in contract negotiation, document management, and managing relationships with EPC contractors.
Strong skills in budget tracking, cost analysis, and financial reporting for multi-million dollar projects.
Technical proficiency in tools including MS Office suite, SQL, and PowerBI.
