The Solutions Architect-Vice President joins the Principal Architect's leadership group to drive the target state business architecture for a global Finance Technology Transformation program. This senior role focuses on migrating core finance platforms to Oracle SaaS by defining architectures for critical domains including General Ledger, Financial Close, Data Substantiation, and Reconciliation. The architect will analyze current processes to identify inefficiencies, develop detailed business process models, and create functional designs that serve as blueprints for the transformation. Key responsibilities include translating business goals into functional requirements for technology teams and engaging senior stakeholders across Finance, Front Office, and Operations. Required expertise includes deep functional knowledge of accounting processes, data governance principles, and the ability to model complex business capabilities within a regulated financial services environment.
Define the target state business architecture for core finance domains including General Ledger and Financial Close.
Analyze current state finance processes to identify gaps and opportunities for automation and standardization.
Develop detailed business process models, functional designs, and data flow diagrams for the transformation program.
Gather requirements and build consensus with senior stakeholders across Finance, Front Office, and Operations.
Translate business architecture into clear functional requirements for Technology teams to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions.
Ensure all architectural designs align with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
What we're looking for
6+ years of experience as a Business Architect, Process Architect, Solutions Architect, or equivalent strategic role within financial services.
Clear career progression from a technical discipline into business solutions and architecture.
Deep functional knowledge of General Ledger, sub-ledger accounting, financial close, consolidation, data substantiation, and multi-system reconciliation.
Demonstrated ability to model business capabilities and design complex, end-to-end business processes at scale within a large, global organization.
Solid understanding of financial data flows, data governance principles, and critical data elements for financial control and reporting in regulated environments.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capability to influence senior leaders and articulate complex business concepts.
Strategic mindset to connect granular process design decisions to broader business outcomes and long-term organizational objectives.
