Additionally, the architect will implement Generative AI, RAG, Agentic AI, and OCR models while establishing AI governance and guardrails. The work focuses on solving complex financial-services problems, including investment workflows, trading, settlements, and back-office operations within a global markets context.

What you'll do

  • Lead solution architecture and engineering strategy for complex financial-services applications and data platforms.
  • Design and modernize enterprise applications using microservices, Spring Boot, Kafka, and distributed data-processing technologies.
  • Architect enterprise data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and real-time integrations using Databricks, Snowflake, and Oracle.
  • Identify and architect opportunities to apply Generative AI, RAG, and agentic AI to financial workflows.
  • Establish technical patterns for AI governance, guardrails, observability, and responsible deployment of AI applications.
  • Provide hands-on technical direction for Python, SQL, and database engineering, including architecture and code reviews.
  • Lead and mentor distributed engineering teams while acting as a senior escalation point for production issues.
  • Conduct vendor evaluations, RFPs, and buy-versus-build assessments with internal teams and external providers.

What we're looking for

  • 15+ years of Information Technology experience, including software engineering, data engineering, application architecture, and financial-services technology.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • Deep financial-services experience in areas such as Repo, Collateral Management, Asset Management, Custody, Securities Lending, or related capital-markets functions.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Python, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Database/Exadata, Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka, MQ, Spring Boot, microservices, and APIs.
  • Practical knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, AI governance, and integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications and data platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Lead, Engineering Lead, Application Architect, or senior technology manager leading complex enterprise initiatives.
  • Experience with market and investment technology platforms such as Bloomberg or Charles River Development (CRD) (preferred).
  • Professional certifications or advanced training in cloud, data engineering, AI/ML, enterprise architecture, or financial technology (preferred).
