Software Technical Manager

What you'll do

• Lead cross-functional engineering teams of 15 to 20 engineers in a matrixed organization.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources with precision and accountability.
• Identify technical and organizational risks and develop robust mitigation strategies.
• Translate high-level business goals into executable engineering plans and strategies.
• Contribute to proposals, basis of estimates, and program strategy development.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement across teams, tools, and processes.
• Serve as a bridge between technical teams and program leadership to communicate status and risks.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI for innovation and process improvement.

What we're looking for

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Technology, or Mathematics field.
• 8 years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams of 15-20 engineers in a matrixed organization (preferred).
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and resources with precision (preferred).
• Advanced or expert-level command of relevant engineering disciplines (preferred).
• Ability to identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation (preferred).
