Software Quality Engineer

What you'll do

• Build and scale automated UI test suites using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium with scalable architectures like Page Object Models.
• Utilize AI tools to accelerate test creation, debugging, triage, documentation, and coverage analysis while ensuring high signal quality.
• Perform visual regression testing for standard DOM elements and rendering-heavy surfaces like Canvas, WebGL, and WebGPU.
• Execute and manage automated tests within CI/CD pipelines across various environments including GPU-enabled runners.
• Develop and maintain C++ unit and integration tests using frameworks such as Google Test or Catch2.
• Debug complex issues across the stack, from React frontend components to C++ native layers and WebAssembly bindings.
• Monitor rendering performance metrics such as frame rate, memory growth, and layout shifts using DevTools and Lighthouse.
• Triage bugs across the C++/web boundary and communicate technical findings to both frontend and systems engineers.

What we're looking for

• Experience building and scaling automated UI test suites using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Proficiency in using AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor for test creation and debugging.
• Expertise in visual regression testing for standard DOM elements and rendering-heavy surfaces like Canvas, WebGL, or WebGPU.
• Ability to write component-level tests using React Testing Library or Jest.
• Experience writing and running C++ unit and integration tests using frameworks like Google Test or Catch2.
• Proficiency in debugging C++ code using GDB, LLDB, or Visual Studio to identify low-level defects.
• Experience executing automated tests within CI/CD pipelines such as CircleCI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Ability to analyze rendering performance metrics including frame rate, memory growth, and Web Vitals.
