Software Engineering Technical Team Lead
The Software Engineering Technical Team Lead leads the design, development, and delivery of an index calculation and backtesting platform within a financial technology environment. This role involves hands-on Java full-stack engineering to build scalable backend services, modern user interfaces, and automated testing frameworks while integrating AI-assisted software delivery workflows. The candidate will manage technical architecture, mentor engineers, and translate complex financial methodology requirements into auditable production code. Key technologies include Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue. The role also requires extensive experience with AWS services like Lambda, Step Functions, and S3, alongside data platforms including Databricks and Snowflake. The work focuses on solving complex problems in index calculation, options analytics, and backtesting to ensure high accuracy and reliability for financial products.
Lead the design and delivery of an AI-enabled financial platform for index calculation and backtesting.
Define technical architecture, coding standards, and implementation patterns for the engineering team.
Develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs to handle complex financial workflows.
Build modern frontend interfaces using React, Angular, or Vue for monitoring and reporting tools.
Implement core financial logic including option analytics, rebalancing rules, and historical backtesting.

What we're looking for
Must have at least 12 years of software engineering experience with a focus on Java full-stack development and enterprise platform delivery.
Must have at least 5 years of technical leadership experience including mentoring, code reviews, and guiding delivery teams.
Requires hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and relational databases.
Requires hands-on frontend development experience using React, Angular, or Vue with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Must have experience designing and delivering large-scale systems involving distributed services, workflow orchestration, and data processing.
Requires experience in AWS cloud-native development including Lambda, Step Functions, ECS/EKS, S3, and other managed services.
Requires knowledge of automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, code quality, observability, and production readiness.
Experience or strong interest in financial platforms such as index calculation, options analytics, backtesting, and capital markets technology is required.
