What you'll do

Implement software engineering best practices to minimize risk and promote high re-usability across multiple states.
Participate in architectural refinement, software design, and realization of products supporting strategic technology needs.
Deliver working software that provides an exceptional user experience for the customer.
Guide the development team in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining processes using Agile methodologies.
Design and conduct proofs of concept for innovative software tools, technologies, and application frameworks.
Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions for core and new features.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and estimate development timelines.
Build data processing pipelines using Databricks, Apache Spark, and AWS cloud infrastructure.

What we're looking for

A Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 3 years of software development experience is required.
A Bachelor's degree and 5 years of software development experience is an acceptable alternative qualification.
Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications and estimating development timelines is required.
Proficiency in Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework is required.
Experience implementing code using Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI) practices is required.
Expertise in designing scalable applications with Python, Scala, Spark, Airflow, Shell Script, and Boto3 is required.
Experience building data processing pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark (PySpark) for large-scale datasets is required.
Proficiency in AWS cloud infrastructure, Docker, OpenShift, and Git-based version control systems is required.
