What you'll do

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers through regular 1:1s and career growth conversations.
Design and lead a multi-year Identity strategy for Apple services.
Oversee the design, build, and operation of micro-services handling millions of daily API requests.
Break down roadmap goals, prioritize tasks, and remove blockers to ensure on-time delivery.
Partner with senior engineers on design and code reviews to ensure scalable and secure solutions.
Support operational excellence for production services, including on-call health and incident response.
Communicate status, risks, and trade-offs to stakeholders and top-level leadership.
Drive adoption of minimum security requirements with customer teams and track progress.

What we're looking for

1+ years of experience leading people, teams, mentoring, or project leadership with a strong interest in management as a career.
7+ years of software development or production operations experience in a large-scale environment.
Experience writing production code in Golang or Swift.
Experience building and operating highly available, distributed, and fault-tolerant systems.
Solid understanding of operating systems concepts including multi-threading, memory management, networking, storage, performance, and scale.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization.
Working knowledge of securing APIs, including input validation, authentication, and authorization for RESTful and gRPC APIs.
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
