The Software Engineering Architect — Digital Marketing Technology will join the Events Technology team to lead the architectural strategy for a global event ecosystem. You will utilize a diverse tech stack including Agentforce, Data Cloud, GraphQL, AWS services like Lambda and SQS, and databases such as DynamoDB and Neo4j. This role solves the complex problem of providing a unified, high-traffic experience for thousands of concurrent attendees while serving as a "Customer Zero" feedback loop for internal products.

What you'll do

  • Define and drive the software architecture vision across the global events technology portfolio.
  • Ensure architectural integrity and integration for registration, attendee management, and session building systems.
  • Build "walking skeleton" prototypes and reference implementations to validate high-stakes architectural decisions.
  • Establish architectural standards and conduct design reviews to empower and unblock engineering teams.
  • Partner with Product Leads to align technical capabilities with multi-quarter roadmap calendars.
  • Provide high-fidelity feedback to product teams on APIs and capabilities based on internal "Customer Zero" usage.
  • Drive alignment on common architecture patterns across different enterprise technology pillars.

What we're looking for

  • 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • 5+ years in an architectural role designing distributed systems at enterprise scale.
  • Experience architecting solutions for Data Cloud, Agentforce/AI Agents, Marketing Journey Orchestration, Identity, Content Management, and event/registration platforms.
  • Experience building scalable micro-service applications on AWS (API Gateway, Lambdas, SNS, SQS, ElastiCache, AppSync) to handle high-traffic spikes.
  • Experience building conversational agents, Co-Pilots, autonomous agents, and integrations with AWS SageMaker ML platform.
  • Experience with high-scale data streams (Apache Kafka, Kinesis), NoSQL (DynamoDB), and Graph databases (Neo4j, Neptune).
  • Proficiency in Agile software delivery, DevOps practices, CI/CD principles, and load/scale testing.
  • Hands-on fluency with modern AI tooling, including LLMs for code generation and prompt engineering for agent orchestration.
