Senior Software Architect

What you'll do

• Lead the development of new capabilities for complex, high-performance systems in an Agile environment.
• Oversee a team of developers and provide coaching and training to ensure technical proficiency.
• Define architectural direction while balancing requirements against cost, schedule, and cybersecurity constraints.
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug application software containing logical and mathematical solutions.
• Manage changes to the software architecture to control complexity and ensure long-term supportability.
• Conduct multidisciplinary research with hardware engineers to plan and design electronic data processing systems.
• Perform trade-off analyses regarding system complexity and communicate technical options to stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary technical expert for system design during customer meetings and technical working groups.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 12 years of experience for a Bachelor's degree holder or 10 years for a Master's degree holder.
• Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
• Security+ certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days.
• At least 12 years of experience designing and developing large integrated classified systems.
• At least 10 years of experience leading development teams.
• Proficiency in C++17, Qt/QML, SQLite, NNG, Google Protocol Buffers, and scripting languages like Perl, Ruby, or Python.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab Enterprise, CMake, vcpkg) and testing tools (Catch2, Valgrind, Clang-Tidy).
• Knowledge of networking protocols, cryptography, SKLs, and ECUs (preferred).
