What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and implement short-term and strategic software solutions for applications, systems, and databases.
  • Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications and functional designs.
  • Write, test, debug, and deploy production-ready code using Python and relevant frameworks.
  • Manage AWS-based services including ECS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB.
  • Integrate internal systems with RESTful and GRPC APIs.
  • Maintain and enhance the CI/CD pipeline through unit and integration testing.
  • Manage technical debt and make informed tactical decisions regarding system architecture.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on technical practices and development.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of progressive experience working with Python.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS, Fargate, Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, DynamoDB, ALB, CloudFront, CloudWatch, and IAM.
  • Experience with Python frameworks and tools such as NumPy and Pandas.
  • Familiarity with multiple programming paradigms and solid grasp of software design patterns.
  • Dedication to quality through automated testing, code reviews, and continuous integration/delivery.
  • Familiarity with R (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments (preferred).
