As a Software Engineer Sys 3 within the Global Products Group, you will join a centralized team focused on the design and engineering of etch and deposition products for the semiconductor industry. You will be responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software programs to support infrastructure, technology platforms, and new product enhancements. Your daily work involves implementing customer requirements into existing applications, maintaining codebases, and providing technical mentorship to junior engineers. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Linux, and real-time operating systems like VxWorks or QNX. You will utilize Python and PowerShell for automation scripts while managing networking components such as Ethernet, routers, and EtherCAT fieldbus technologies. Your work ensures seamless hardware compatibility and software integration across a diverse portfolio of industrial equipment and automated manufacturing systems.
Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for new products and system enhancements.

What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
Experience developing, testing, validating, and qualifying computer platforms for embedded systems, industrial control systems, or automation applications.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux, and real-time operating systems.
Experience with operating system installation, image creation, configuration, and system software integration.
Experience developing automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages.
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and hands-on experience testing Ethernet networks, routers, switches, serial communication devices, and industrial networking equipment.
Experience testing and qualifying industrial fieldbus technologies like EtherCAT (familiarity with real-time communication and network diagnostics is preferred).
5+ years of experience developing, integrating, testing, and qualifying industrial computing platforms for semiconductor, automation, robotics, or manufacturing equipment (preferred); prior semiconductor equipment experience (preferred).
