The Software Engineer (Starship) joins the Data and Operations Engineering team within the Starship Supply Chain division. What you'll do

Own automations, applications, and data pipelines from inception through monitoring and iteration.
Query, clean, and transform supply chain data to inform decisions at all organizational levels.
Develop and standardize key performance indicators and other operational metrics.

Design and develop web apps, dashboards, or self-service platforms for non-technical stakeholders.
Maintain and manage ETL processes using data orchestration tools like Airflow, Prefect, or dbt.
Implement software solutions that integrate with the broader company software ecosystem.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, math, physics, or a scientific discipline.
2+ years of professional experience building software or data pipelines in lieu of a degree.
At least 1 year of experience in data engineering, data science, full stack development, or software engineering.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C#.
Experience with SQL and designing/querying relational databases.
Experience with data orchestration tools like Airflow, Prefect, or dbt.
Familiarity with data analysis libraries (Pandas, NumPy, PyTorch) and visualization tools (Power BI, Grafana, Metabase, or Tableau).
Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for required export control authorizations.
