The Software Engineer SMTS joins the DET Salesforce on Salesforce Technology team to develop enterprise-scale solutions for global employee success processes. What you'll do

Lead the technical design and implementation of production-ready applications on the Salesforce platform.
Own complex features through requirements analysis, architecture, development, automated testing, and deployment.
Build reusable components and services to improve employee lifecycle experiences and business processes.
Design and maintain robust integrations with upstream and downstream systems using REST, SOAP, and GraphQL.
Use AI development tools responsibly for code exploration, prototyping, test generation, and troubleshooting.
Develop comprehensive unit, integration, regression, and functional tests integrated into CI/CD workflows.
Troubleshoot production issues to improve performance, scalability, availability, and fault tolerance.
Raise team capability through code reviews, technical mentoring, and establishing best practices.

What we're looking for

Typically 5 to 7 years of professional software engineering experience owning production systems and complex technical features.
A related technical degree is required.
Proficiency in one or more relevant languages such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Apex, Python, Go, C#, or .NET.
Experience designing APIs and integrations using REST, SOAP, GraphQL, middleware, and asynchronous or event-driven architectures.
Strong front-end fundamentals with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, and component-based UI development.
Experience with relational data modeling and database technologies including SQL, SOQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
Hands-on Salesforce development experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, SOSL, DML, and governor limits.
Experience delivering software on public cloud or SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, AWS, or Google Cloud.
