JOB TITLE: Software Engineer (SAP Basis Administrator), IS&T Enterprise Systems The Software Engineer (SAP Basis Administrator), IS&T Enterprise Systems joins the SAP Technology team to manage the world's largest single-instance SAP deployment. This role supports critical business functions by ensuring system scalability, availability, performance, infrastructure security, and software life cycle management. You will manage a complex integrated landscape, monitor vulnerability and security tools, coordinate remediation activities, and support daily operations of the enterprise workload automation environment. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting batch processing, supporting platform upgrades, and developing Python scripts to automate repetitive tasks. Required technical skills include experience with ABAP and JAVA stacks, SAP Cloud Platform services, SAP Hana Cloud, Native Hana, SAP SDI Replication, and SAP systems running on GCP. You will also utilize Oracle and SAP HANA Database administration to maintain core financial and supply chain systems.

What you'll do

Monitor enterprise vulnerability and security management tools to ensure system integrity.
Coordinate remediation activities and track compliance progress with Infrastructure and Security teams.
Support daily operations of the enterprise workload automation environment and job scheduling.
Troubleshoot batch processing issues and lead incident resolution efforts.
Support platform upgrades, patching, and change implementation activities.
Monitor application health, operational alerts, and batch processing performance.
Develop Python scripts and utilities to automate repetitive operational tasks.
Maintain operational runbooks and documentation for process improvements.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
4 years of Basis experience in managing and administering both ABAP and JAVA stacks.
2 years of experience in SAP Cloud Platform services.
2 years of experience in SAP Hana Cloud and Native Hana.
2 years of experience in creating and deploying SAP SDI Replication to SAP Hana Cloud and SAP Cloud Connector.
2 years of experience in SAP systems running on GCP.
Extensive knowledge of SAP J2EE Server installation, administration, and tuning (preferred).
Experience in Oracle and SAP HANA Database administration (preferred).
