Software Engineer, Rust

What you'll do

• Architect, maintain, and evolve complex software systems while refactoring code for performance and scalability.
• Develop high-performance Rust software for real-time systems, including tactical implementations and simulation environments.
• Prototype and deploy state-of-the-art algorithms for target tracking, multi-sensor data fusion, and state estimation.
• Design and implement robust filters, estimators, and probabilistic reasoning systems to process noisy sensor data.
• Analyze system performance using high-fidelity simulations and rigorous statistical techniques to validate technology.
• Customize algorithms and software to meet specific mission-critical requirements for diverse end-users.
• Integrate tracking and estimation technologies into the full software development lifecycle from requirement definition to optimization.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, or another technical field (advanced degree preferred).
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 2+ years working on a single codebase or product while managing evolving requirements.
• Experience managing and evolving software architecture in production environments, including refactoring legacy systems.
• Proficiency in algorithm design, software development, and statistical modeling; Rust, C/C++, Python, and Matlab are pluses.
• Solid understanding of applied mathematics, signal processing, and engineering robust systems for estimation theory and adaptive filtering.
• Familiarity with big data pipelines, NoSQL databases, and handling large-scale sensor data.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
