Senior Software Engineer, Rust

What you'll do

• Architect, maintain, and evolve complex software systems while refactoring existing codebases for performance and scalability.
• Develop high-performance Rust software for real-time systems, including tactical implementations and simulation environments.
• Prototype and deploy state-of-the-art algorithms for target tracking, multi-sensor data fusion, and state estimation.
• Design and implement robust filters, estimators, and probabilistic reasoning systems to process noisy sensor data.
• Analyze system performance using high-fidelity simulations and rigorous statistical techniques to validate technology benefits.
• Customize algorithms and software to meet specific mission-critical requirements for diverse end-users.
• Integrate tracking and estimation technologies into the full software development lifecycle from requirements to optimization.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, or another technical field is required; advanced degrees are preferred.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience is required.
• At least 2+ years of experience working on a single codebase or product while managing evolving requirements.
• Proficiency in algorithm design, software development, and statistical modeling using Rust, C/C++, Python, or Matlab.
• Solid understanding of applied mathematics including linear algebra, optimization, probability, and stochastic processes.
• Knowledge of signal processing for sensor data and experience with estimation theory, adaptive filtering, and control systems.
• Familiarity with big data pipelines, NoSQL databases, and handling large-scale sensor data.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
