The Software Engineer (Payments and Finance Engineering) joins the Information Systems and Technology organization as a strategic technology partner for the Finance function. In this role, you will envision, design, develop, and deliver components of a well integrated, distributed system that serves as the core financial capabilities for the company. You will lead technical designs for new products, translating complex requirements into high-quality features while navigating ambiguous challenges. The position requires expertise in Java or other JVM-based languages, SQL and NoSQL data stores, and Event-Driven Architecture using Kafka. You must understand how payments and commerce transactions are processed to reflect accounting impacts. Relevant skills include experience with Postgres, MongoDB, public cloud platforms, Docker, and Kubernetes to ensure system reliability, scale, and accuracy.

What we're looking for
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience.
4 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting highly scalable systems and services in Java or other JVM-based languages.
4 years of experience with different data store technologies (SQL, NoSQL).
2 years of experience in Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) and messaging technologies such as Kafka.
2 years of experience in financial engineering, including knowledge of how payments and commerce transactions reflect accounting and financial impacts.
Practical experience with Postgres, MongoDB (preferred).
Public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.) (preferred).
Deployment experience using Docker and Kubernetes (preferred).
