What you'll do

Implement resilient data ingestion from AWS sources into Databricks using batch and streaming methods.
Build maintainable data pipelines using Delta Live Tables with modular structures, testing, and documentation.
Productionize workloads using Databricks Workflows with robust retries, checkpointing, and idempotency.
Enforce data governance by designing for least privilege, PII classification, auditing, and lineage.
Optimize Spark and Delta workloads to manage performance, cluster sizing, and storage costs.
Manage infrastructure and deployments using Terraform for Databricks and AWS resources.
Develop unit and integration tests to ensure data quality and reliable backfill procedures.
Utilize enterprise-authorized AI tools to accelerate code generation, refactoring, and documentation.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of hands-on Software Development Life Cycle experience.
Experience building and maintaining data pipelines.
Hands-on experience building and operating a Databricks Lakehouse hosted in AWS.
Experience with Delta Lake, including ACID tables, partitioning, schema evolution, and Spark performance tuning on Databricks.
Experience with streaming and batch pipelines using Structured Streaming and incremental processing.
Strong AWS fundamentals for data platforms including S3, IAM, KMS, and networking basics.
Experience implementing data governance and security controls in Databricks.
Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools to improve code quality and productivity.
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies (preferred).
Exposure to cloud technologies (preferred).
