As a Software Engineer III within the Asset & Wealth Management (AM Services) team, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products. You are responsible for developing high-quality production code, maintaining algorithms, and creating architecture artifacts for complex applications across distributed systems including microservices and RESTful APIs. Your daily work involves troubleshooting technical problems, managing the software development life cycle with CI/CD and automated testing, and utilizing enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to improve delivery speed and quality. You will work with Java, SQL, Spring, Kafka, AWS, Oracle, and PostgreSQL to build a unified services ecosystem with standardized data models. The role focuses on solving technical challenges in investment and holdings capabilities by creating scalable, secure solutions within a complex financial services environment.

What we're looking for
Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, or equivalent practical experience, and at least 3 years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages (e.g., Java) and database querying languages (e.g., SQL).
Experience with distributed systems concepts and building services using microservices and RESTful APIs.
Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile delivery practices.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring output correctness, performance, and security.
Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Familiarity with enterprise frameworks (e.g., Spring), messaging systems (e.g., Kafka), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), relational databases, or front-end technologies (preferred).
