As a Software Engineer III on the Consumer and Community Banking/Deposit 2.0 team, you will join an agile team to design and deliver secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You are responsible for executing software solutions, troubleshooting complex problems, and creating high-quality production code while maintaining algorithms that run synchronously with various systems. Your daily work involves producing architecture artifacts, analyzing large datasets to improve system performance, and utilizing enterprise-authorized AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot or Claude to enhance development speed and quality. The role requires expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and AWS services including ECS, Lambda, and Aurora Postgres. You will utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code and manage the software development life cycle using tools such as Git, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube, Junit, and Mockito to solve complex financial service challenges.

What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools to accelerate cycles and the ability to coach teams on their use.
Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and security considerations.
Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Experience creating scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and CI/CD toolsets like GIT, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube, Junit, and Mockito (preferred).
Experience in AWS services, Terraform for Infrastructure as Code, and practical cloud-native experience (preferred).
