What you'll do

Identify and execute new opportunities to evolve the Uber One program across UberEats and UberX.
Architect robust, highly available, and scalable systems to resolve complex technical challenges for millions of users.
Drive technical strategy for platform evolution, microservices architecture, and API design.
Lead technical projects end-to-end from initial inception through global deployment and productionization.
Define standards for testing, monitoring, and alerting while managing complex incidents at an organizational level.
Identify architectural gaps and create frameworks to improve developer velocity and reduce technical debt.
Build high-quality UI experiences and features using modern web technologies like React and Node.js.

What we're looking for

3+ years of work experience in software engineering building large scale systems.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Hands-on web development experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and various application servers.
Experience developing UI with frameworks like React, Angular, Vue, or Bootstrap.
Experience with Node.js, React-Query, GraphQL, or other server-side JavaScript technologies.
Deep understanding of software engineering fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, and system design.
Proven experience leading technical projects end-to-end and defining standards for testing, monitoring, and incident management.
Experience in marketplace platforms and creating 0 to 1 features (preferred).
