What you'll do

  • Design, implement, and operate scoped features for the CER Lab's packaged Windows validation products.
  • Build and evolve automation components for harness management, device orchestration, scheduling, and result processing.
  • Investigate root causes of system failures using logs, traces, crash data, and Windows debugging tools.
  • Develop telemetry, logging, and tracing systems to ensure automation is observable and actionable.
  • Improve test reliability by addressing flaky execution, performance bottlenecks, and recurring failure patterns.
  • Integrate AI-assisted tools to accelerate test authoring, log analysis, and documentation workflows.
  • Produce high-quality code and technical designs while participating in peer reviews and engineering improvements.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 2+ years of experience coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python (or equivalent).
  • Experience owning and operating production-quality test automation, developer tooling, lab infrastructure, distributed services, or continuous integration capabilities (preferred).
  • Experience with Windows debugging, operating system fundamentals, system internals, drivers, deployment, power, performance, reliability, or hardware/software integration (preferred).
  • Experience designing harnesses, runners, device or lab orchestration, telemetry, logging, tracing, and result aggregation (preferred).
  • Experience diagnosing complex failures, reducing flaky tests, improving observability, and driving issues through mitigation and verification (preferred).
  • Recent hands-on use of generative AI models and agents for development, testing, diagnosis, process acceleration, or productivity (preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines and teams (preferred).
  • Demonstrated focus on customer needs, quality, team culture, continuous learning, and end-to-end ownership (preferred).
